Illegally imported cigarettes seized

A consignment of illegally imported cigarettes, concealed inside bed sheets and gloves and valued at over Rs. 500 million, was seized by Customs officials at the Colombo Port premises. The revenue loss to the government is estimated at Rs. 460 million. Pix by Nimalsiri Edirisinghe
