hope the track level will be lowered or the platform raised to meet the floor level of the compartments to make it easy for commuters to get in or out instead of having to use the fixed steps of the compartments

It is about time that we teach construction safety to workmen and start using PPEs. Construction workers should not be made to wear sandals or no footwear when performing tasks.

Sri Lanka is No. 1 Tourst destination in Island countries in the World. This renovation should have been started with dirty Public toilets and unhygenic canteen facilities at Fort Railway and Maradana Railway. We as a country ashamed about CLEAN Sri Lanka

This is a long overdue.Action should have been taken long ago to modernise the Fort railway station.When tourists arrive in the country,the first impression on train travel they get is at the Fort railway station.Hence it is imperative that we,at least modernise this railway station on par with those of developed countries.Therefore,our thanks go to the concerned authorities for this initiative.

This is a long overdue project. This is the main gateway to SL. If SL wants to attract tourists, it not only will need to modernise it, but also train customer service officers for proper manners, how to greet and talk to tourists and of core their language skills. It is also noted that the workers don't even ear safety boots. They just wear DSI slippers, which is not appropriate.
