F.R. Senanayake commemorated

The 100th death anniversary of F. R. Senanayake, a pioneer in Sri Lanka’s struggle for independence, was commemorated today in Colombo in front of his statue at Vihara Maha Devi Park. Prominent Buddhist monks conducted anusasana ceremonies during the event. Political leaders, religious figures, and relatives of the late leader were also present.
