EduFest 2026 study abroad expo held in Colombo

Sri Lankan education consultancy The Students Visa (TSV) recently hosted EduFest 2026, described as Sri Lanka’s premier study abroad expo, at the Hilton Colombo.

The event brought together more than 40 international university representatives from leading institutions in the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Finland and Sweden, providing Sri Lankan students and parents direct access to global higher education opportunities under one roof.

More than 350 students and parents attended the exhibition, which aimed to simplify the overseas education process by offering personalised guidance and verified information directly from official university representatives.

EduFest 2026 also served as a platform for students to gain insights into academic pathways, admission requirements, scholarship opportunities and long-term career prospects. Parents were able to engage with university representatives and obtain guidance on financial planning and visa procedures.

A key highlight of the event was the official launch and presentation of the first International Student Identity Card (ISIC) to a Sri Lankan student, marking a milestone in promoting global student mobility and international recognition.

The ceremonial launch was conducted in collaboration with United Ventures. The ISIC card was presented in the presence of TSV Director and CEO Raees Ul Haq, Director and COO Nuzri Munsoor, and Chief Growth Officer Thilina Rajapakse, along with United Ventures General Manager Dilanka Herath and Junior Marketing Executive Amna Nizam.

Speaking at the event, Raees Ul Haq said EduFest 2026 was designed to provide Sri Lankan students with transparent, direct and reliable access to international universities.

“Our objective is to empower families with accurate information and structured guidance, helping them make confident decisions about their global education journey,” he said.

The event welcomed students who have completed or are currently completing O/L, A/L, foundation or undergraduate qualifications and are exploring international study opportunities for 2026 and beyond.
