Drug awareness programme in N' Eliya

Police officers engaged with the public in Nuwara Eliya during the April Spring Festival, distributing awareness leaflets and placing hotline stickers on vehicles to combat drug use and illegal cigarette sales, as part of a public awareness campaign led by Nuwara Eliya Police officials.

The police officers  also took steps to display awareness posters targeting public gatherings during the Spring Festival.

A large number of police officers attached to the Nuwara Eliya Police, including Nuwara Eliya Assistant Superintendent of Police Chandana Basnayake, Nuwara Eliya Headquarters Chief Inspector P.S. Sanjeewa, OIC of the Criminal Investigation Division Indunil Premalal, and others, were present at the event.
