The Supreme Court has ruled that State Minister Diana Gamage does not meet the legal qualifications necessary to hold a parliamentary seat. 1) elections commission and AG should be held responsible. 2) speaker thattaya should file a case to recover every cent she enjoyed being a parliamentarian. 3) she should be charged for false declarations too. 4) ranila too should be held responsible for appointing this whore as a minister knowing very well that she is not eligible

Re 4: If she was elected to the parliament as an MP, what is wrong with offering her a portfolio? Please note that under the Sri Lankan legal system, one is innocent until proven otherwise.

Gona, learn facts before you talk. It is not the duty or in the powers of the Elections commission to do investigations and verify whether an election candidate has another citizenship. AG is not at all in it.

I agree with Warren. And what Gona fails to recognize is that she was elected under the SJB ticket and the like of Mujibur, Hirunika, Sajith and the rest of the clan saw her as a saviour when hurriedly setting up the breakaway group just a few years ago.

Hi Warren, sorry if I'm ignorant, she wasn't elected and Ranila wasn't elected. They creeped in from the back door. I have forgotten that Ranila robbed the CBSL daylight from the front door. So what is for him appointing this Gully Bowser as a minister. If one is a master in vice, Ranila is with them. Sorry again, I'm just a novice to politics.

SJB don't celebrate this a victory for you. She is a very strong women and will come down on your party very hard. No sooner she was unseated all were talking like hero's but when she was in parliament all were sitting on their mouths.

This is the outcome of people taking revenge on others. If the country can permit erstwhile citizens of this country to obtain dual citizenship why not have the rights reinstated ? Revenge has been the password mainly to ensure that the Rajapakses domiciled outside have no say in the politics of the country. What has the petitioner gained nothing only momentum happiness in the downfall of others. What I can't understand is that when many pilferred the public purse all these so called petitioners had their tails between their legs giving obeisance to power hungry politicians. !!!!!!!
