Demanding implementation of education reforms

Parents of Grade 6 students in the Nuwara Eliya area staged a protest in front of the Nuwara Eliya Main Post Office today (20), calling for the immediate implementation of new education reforms.

The protesters urged authorities to take prompt action to introduce learning modules related to other subjects without further delay. They expressed concern over the continued focus on the controversial English learning module, which they claim is disrupting the overall education process.

Parents demanded that the Education Ministry ensure students are taught all relevant subjects in a timely manner, rather than allowing curriculum issues to affect their studies.
