Army Chief commends gold medalists

The gold medal-winning team of the Sri Lanka Army, who brought honour to the nation at the 9th Pakistan Army Team Spirit Competition (PATS) 2026, were appreciated and presented with certificates by Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo, Commander of the Army at Army Headquarters.

This marks the second occasion the Sri Lanka Army secured the gold medal in the competition’s history. Last year, the Sri Lanka Army team secured the silver medal at the same event.

It is considered that the competition is a challenging international event, with 24 teams representing 19 friendly foreign countries competed this year.
