Why did not she join the NPP she had a good post to AKD in 2005 and why didn't she consider the stronger NPP than SJB? This year's election is going to be a big match in this country. Never in Sri Lankan politics do we see this type of political confrontation or struggle for power. Ranil is no limbo? MR is in Jeopardy? Sajith is between fear and hope? NPP is in full swing..

Has everyone forgotten the locomotive scandal, the transformer that was left to rust when the bridge was too narrow to continue and other scams ? Why don’t we go retro and appoint Chandrika as President, Paddy Maharajah as President controller, and Sanath Gunathilake as “First Lady” ?

Without any doubt, Premadasa and the people around him can at best only describe themselves as "pre-school students" of politics in relation to Chandrika, her political wisdom, her knowledge and her world political experience! You can learn a lot from her in many ways! Beyond the human and political differences between Chandrika and Sajith, an ally of her caliber could bring electoral benefits to the SJB! But it's hard to imagine whether Chandrika will give in to it! I think she knows how to correctly assess Premadasa and his party's power play and is pursuing other interests and goals!

@ Lanka; Yes, NPP / JVP in full swing with ship loads of talks and collecting files and funds with no action even when AKD had power under My3 and as the of Agriculture from 2004 to 2005, under Chandrika. Action matters while being in opposition with the distribution of computer labs and buses to poor schools, medical equipment for hospitals, restoring power at Mihintale, compensation for Rajapaksha gas explosion deaths, etc. It's the salient gauge and alert people will vote to establish their intelligence.
