The 96th Battle of the Maroons, the historic annual cricket encounter between Ananda College and Nalanda College, was unveiled in grand style this evening at the outdoor premises of Nelum Pokuna Mahinda Rajapaksa Theatre.The glittering event brought together members of both teams, generous big match sponsors, distinguished guests, and scores of enthusiastic supporters, including schoolchildren and old boys.

I was taught the Buddhist philosophy by the Professor Kotagama Wachissara Thero, he drove into us that dishonesty was not part of Ananda Culture. He passed way due a medical misadventure and I still can not get over it as we used look forward for his lesson. He taught us a philosophy and I am still grateful to him and the school.
