People’s Bank donates medication to Apeksha Hospital

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, the Compliance Department of People’s Bank made a contribution to the National Cancer Institute, Maharagama (Apeksha Hospital), by donating essential cancer medication. 

A sum of Rs. 320,500 was raised through the generous contributions of department staff members and was utilised to purchase much-needed medicines for cancer patients. The donation was formally handed over to the hospital on 14th June 2025.

The Director of the National Cancer Institute, Dr. Aruna Jayasekara, accepted the donation and expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the timely and meaningful gesture. This initiative reflects People’s Bank’s ongoing commitment to supporting the wellbeing of communities and contributing to the national healthcare sector through impactful CSR efforts.
