At Brandix, empowering women is not simply a commitment marked on a calendar day; it is an ongoing journey shaped by purpose, collaboration and the belief that when people support one another, everyone moves forward together.
Project Shakti, launched in India in 2023, equips women with technical skills in mechanical roles traditionally dominated by men. Through a structured nine-month training programme, combining classroom learning with hands-on technical experience, 14 associates successfully transitioned into trainee mechanic roles across.
Through Rise for Her, Brandix’s mentorship initiative, women at entry and mid-career levels are connected with experienced mentors across the organisation. The programme focuses on building confidence, strengthening capability and preparing participants for future leadership opportunities.
To date, 157 mentees have benefited from the programme, supported by a growing network of mentors. Many former mentees have since stepped forward as mentors themselves, creating a powerful cycle of women supporting and uplifting one another.
Complementing this is Rise Up, a biannual networking platform that brings together women across the organisation to exchange insights, share experiences and explore new opportunities for professional growth.
Brandix also supports RISE – Reimagining Industry to Support Equality, a global collaborative initiative led with partners including PVH and Gap Inc., focused on empowering women across the garment industry. RISE promotes safer, more inclusive workplaces while strengthening women’s confidence and leadership potential. The programme covers areas such as communication, decision-making, workplace rights, financial literacy and health awareness, while also addressing critical issues such as gender-based violence prevention. To date, over 3,500 beneficiaries have benefited from the programme, which builds on the foundation of the earlier P.A.C.E (Personal Advancement and Career Enhancement) Programme.
Across its locations in Sri Lanka, India and Bangladesh, Brandix has introduced facilities such as daycare centres and lactation rooms, ensuring working mothers have access to the resources and flexibility needed to balance family responsibilities while continuing to grow in their careers.
Brandix continues to invest in leadership development and capability building. Through programmes such as the Executive Development Programme and Management Development Programme, the organisation ensures at least 30 percent female participation, strengthening the pipeline of future women leaders.
