Focus your capacity on finding alternatives to plastic which should be banned. We and the food we eat are riddled with microplastics. It must end.

Plastic waste needs to be addresssed. As an island, Sri Lanka will always be vulerable but can tackle the issues with help from foreign investors and local startups and visionaries! Bring in the young generation from early! Make it a way of life.

we should move towards bioplastics like poly lactic acid (PLA), so that even if some of that is dumped in the environment, it won't be harmful. We can't recycle plastics 100% and there is a limit to the number of times we can recycle it.

Recently, I was in Sri Lanka taking takeaway string hoppers etc.They all come up with plastic wrapping. I guess this id not a big issue for the NPP government. Sirisena also couldn't stop it 100%. I guess they have to protect the large plastic companies.
