Cargills together with MAS Foundation expands efforts to combat plastic pollution

In celebration of World Environment Day, Cargills Food and Beverage Limited has taken another step towards environmental protection with the installation of its second Ocean Strainer in Wanathamulla. 

This initiative, implemented in collaboration with the MAS Foundation for Change, aligns with this year’s global theme “End Plastic Pollution.”

Cargills Food and Beverage Limited Managing Director, Arjuna Kumarasinghe stated: “This innovative solution effectively addresses ocean plastic pollution by capturing waste plastic before it reaches the ocean. We are proud to advance this initiative with the launch of the second Ocean Strainer and remain committed to expanding its reach to create a lasting positive impact on our environment.”
