Browns EV officially announced the launch of the highly anticipated fast-charging BAW E7 Pro electric vehicle to the Sri Lankan market at a press conference held on March 10, 2026, at Monarch Imperial.
The unveiling marks another significant milestone in the evolution of Sri Lanka’s electric mobility landscape and reflects Browns EV’s continued commitment to expanding a diverse portfolio of high-quality, accessible electric vehicles designed to meet the evolving needs of modern consumers.
Positioned as one of the most competitively priced electric vehicles currently available in the local market, BAW E7 Pro is offered at an attractive price point of Rs.5.8 million.
The model has been developed to deliver a practical and accessible mobility solution for urban drivers, combining efficiency, reliability and modern technology to support the growing demand for sustainable transportation alternatives in Sri Lanka.
Engineered to deliver dependable performance for daily commuting, BAW E7 Pro offers a driving range of up to 260 kilometres on a single charge. The vehicle is powered by a 22.29 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, a technology widely recognised for its durability, thermal stability and enhanced safety characteristics.
Complementing its efficiency is the vehicle’s fast-charging capability, enabling the battery to be charged from 30 percent to 80 percent in approximately 35 minutes, significantly reducing downtime and enhancing convenience for drivers.
Designed with practicality and modern aesthetics in mind, BAW E7 Pro features a compact yet refined exterior ideally suited for city driving conditions. The interior has been thoughtfully appointed with contemporary technology, including a nine-inch floating infotainment display, a reverse camera and a five-inch digital instrument cluster that delivers essential driving information through an intuitive interface.
Browns EV Executive Director Vijitha Bandara said, “We have already sold over 1,500 BAW E7 vehicles and Sri Lankan consumers are now well aware of the reliability and practicality of our EV offerings. To further strengthen this ecosystem, we are planning to establish 100 charging stations islandwide in partnership with TELD by June 2026. In addition, we are offering a 10-year warranty for the battery and a three-year warranty for the vehicle, ensuring complete peace of mind for our customers.”
