Professor Mike Hostetler of the Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management will lead a three-day Strategic Leadership Certificate Program for directors, top and senior managers in Colombo on August 10, 11 and 12 this year. The venue is the JAIC Hilton. This follows two highly successful programs in Hong Kong and Saudi Arabia. The Colombo Program is organized by NEXT Campus.
Cornell University in New York, part of the Ivy League, is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in the world. The Cornell Johnson Graduate school of Management is among the top five Ivy League business schools in the USA.
Professor Hostetler’s main research and teaching interests are in strategy, decision-making, leadership, high performance teams, and change management. He has taught classes in the MBA program, Executive MBA program and the Cornell-Queen’s EMBA program (New York), as well as many non-degree executive education programs.
Professor Hostetler is also the author of on-line courses in strategic thinking, scenario planning, leadership, and team effectiveness. These programs have been used by corporations around the world to enhance their executive education programs, including IBM, CSC, AP Moeller Maersk, the U.S. Navy, Delta Hotels and Resorts, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police among many others.
He is also involved in the development of custom executive programs at the Johnson School, and has designed programs for a variety of international companies including Siemens, Citigroup, the Oxford University Press, Areva, Sara Lee, Johnson & Johnson, Bausch and Lomb, Glaxo Smith Klein, Hyundai, United Technologies, the Asian Development Bank, LIG, Plansee, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Samsung, Philip Morris, G4S, and the Schwan Food Co.
