Ajita Pasqual appointed as Adam Investments Chairman

Senior banker and former GM/CEO at Seylan Bank PLC, Ajita Pasqual has been appointed as the Executive Chairman of Adam Investments PLC with immediate effect.

His appointment comes in the wake of the largest shareholder of Adam Investments Dr. Ali Asger Shabir Gulamhusein stepping down as the company’s Chairman and Director. 

Dr. Gulamhusein, as the controlling shareholder, holds over 70 percent of the issued shares of the company.

Adam Capital PLC, a subsidiary of Adam Investments, which was earlier known as PCH Holdings PLC, recently said it incorporated a company to enter into the micro credit business.

Adam Capital also revealed its intention to act as a Placement Agent to canvass for investment for the Sri Lankan government and in the corporate bond market. 

Pasqual was appointed as the Chairman of Adam Capital, along with two other directors, in line with the new business operations of the company.
Pasqual also serves as the Chairman of Adam Carbon (Pvt.) Ltd.
