VS One marks 5th anniversary

VS One (Pvt.) Ltd and VS One World (PTE) Ltd marked their fifth anniversary with a grand event at Courtyard By Marriott recently.

The theme of the celebration was a powerful metaphor: a caterpillar transforming into a butterfly, symbolising the past five years of growth and evolution for both companies. This transformation embodies the company’s bold vision of thinking bigger, bolder and embracing risk. 

The celebration brought together employees, partners and group leaders in an evening that encapsulated the spirit of the company’s journey, highlighting its unwavering commitment to excellence, innovation and customer satisfaction. The company has built strong partnerships with industry-leading providers and provides cutting-edge solutions to enterprises in multiple sectors, including telecom, public, banking and finance, healthcare, manufacturing and many others.

VS One World CEO/Director Wajira Wanigasekara welcomed the guests and shared his experience of leading VS One World to new heights. Under his leadership, the company has successfully expanded from the SAARC region to Europe. Wanigasekara also highlighted the importance of transformation, drawing a parallel to the concept of Lobster Moulting, a natural process of growth and renewal.

VS One Founding Director Prasanna Wijeratne shared his vision for founding VS One and the company’s journey from its inception. The event also featured a keynote speech by the guest of honour Dr. Ruwan Weerasinghe, who discussed the role of innovative artificial intelligence in shaping the future of the IT industry. VS One General Manager Udara Weerasinghe led a toast with the team leaders where he highlighted the commitment to the future, with everyone raising their glasses to a more successful and prosperous next five years.

VS One anniversary celebrations were also about honouring the people who made the company’s success possible. The employees, who had completed five years of service, were presented with awards and certificates for their exceptional contributions while special recognition certificates were awarded to the employees who had served for three years. The event also recognised the outstanding performance with four Performance Excellence Awards for 2024. 

VS Information Systems Managing Director Priyanga Gunasekara delivered a speech, emphasising the group vision in the coming years.
