Unimo Enterprises introduces all-new JMEV ELIGHT Sedan

Unimo Enterprises Limited, a fully-owned subsidiary of United Motors Lanka PLC, took a significant step in Sri Lanka’s electric mobility journey with the launch of JMEV ELIGHT EV Sedan at the 2025 Colombo EV Motor Show. 

This important addition expands Unimo’s electric vehicle (EV) portfolio, which now features two pioneering brands – SERES and JMEV – offering eco-conscious Sri Lankan drivers a greater choice.

Backed by over 30 years of automotive expertise, Unimo is spearheading the shift toward sustainable transportation by offering smart, high-quality EVs. The company operates a strong islandwide presence with branches in Kandy, Nugegoda, Matara, Kurunegala, Borella and Ratnapura, supported by a comprehensive islandwide after-sales service network. JMEV ELIGHT EV Sedan features a 63kWh NCM battery (Nickel Cobalt Manganese), known for its high energy density, long lifespan and superior thermal stability, ensuring both extended range and enhanced safety. It delivers a maximum power output of 118 kW. A DC fast charging time of just 27 minutes (from 30 percent to 80 percent) ensures convenience and makes it ideal for long distance travel.

Key features include cruise control, rear parking radar, 360 degree panoramic view, keyless entry and push start, large entertainment system with high quality six speakers and safety technologies: ABS, EBD, ESC, EBA, HSA and more.
