The Telecommunication Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (TRCSL) said it had come to notice that illegal DTH connection service providers (DTH service/Dish TV) are advertising through social media platforms.
While the TRCSL has initiated measures to stop such illegal operations, the regulator notified all consumers to be cautioned against obtaining services from such illegal vendors or making any type of payments.
People can log on to the TRCSL official website (http://www.trc.gov.lk/direct-to-home-satellite-broadcasting-operators.html) to obtain information on authorised DTH service/Dish TV service providers before subscribing for such services, the TRCSL said.
