Sri Lanka Investment Summit 2016, a private sector-organised event to promote investments to Sri Lanka, will kick off today (March 15) in Four Seasons Hotel, Singapore. Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake, Central Bank Governor Arjuna Mahendran, Deputy Foreign Minister and economist Dr. Harsha de Silva and State Enterprise Development Deputy Minister Eran Wickramaratne are slated to speak at the event,
sharing the changes in Sri Lanka’s business and investment climate since January 2015. Meanwhile, a number of other speakers, representing various private sector organisations including financial institutions, equity brokerages, development funding agencies and trade chambers are scheduled to make presentations and engage in panel discussions on key issues pertaining to making investments in Sri Lanka and fundraising opportunities for Lankan firms in Asia.
