Softlogic Holdings appoints  Imran Furkan as Independent Non-Executive Director

Softlogic Holdings PLC said its board has appointed Mohamed Imran Furkan as an Independent Non-Executive Director with effect from August 29.

The appointment, reviewed by the company’s Nominations and Governance Committee, was made under Section 9.10.3 of the Listing Rules, Softlogic said in a disclosure.

Furkan, who has no shareholding in the company as of the date of his appointment, is currently the Chief Executive of Tresync, Australia. He has held senior management and board roles across finance, health, food, retail, IT, education, commodities, media and professional services in the Asia-Pacific region.

He also serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director at Odel PLC, Asiri Health, Maharaja Foods PLC and Asiri Surgical Hospital PLC, in addition to being on the Board of Management of the Lakshman Kadiragamar Institute.

Furkan previously led SLASSCOM and the Sri Lanka Press Institute, and has served on committees of the Sri Lanka Institute of Directors. He is a Fellow of CPA Australia and CIMA UK, holds an MBA from Australia, and a BA (Hons) in Sustainable Performance Management from the UK.
