• Two days of tea rituals at Yum Cha Experience at Shang Palace

In celebration of Chinese tea culture and Shangri-La’s enduring commitment to showcasing the richness of Asian heritage, Shangri-La Colombo is hosting a rare and refined tea experience led by Tea Master Ji Shanshan on June 28 and 29, 2025, at its signature restaurant Shang Palace.

Hailing from China, Ji Shanshan is a Certified National Junior Tea Master, an International Alliance Senior Yoga Instructor and Head of Tea at a Michelin-starred restaurant. With years of expertise in traditional tea ceremony, tea service etiquette and tea pairing, she is celebrated not only for her technical mastery but for the grace and ritual she brings to every brew. Her visit marks a unique collaboration designed to transport guests through the essence of Chinese tradition — one elegant pour at a time.

Guests are invited to take part in a truly immersive Yum Cha Experience during lunch and a la carte menu dinner, where Tea Master Ji will personally present and pair exquisite Chinese teas with Shang Palace’s signature dim sum selections.
