SLIC donates Rs.10mn to Rebuild Sri Lanka Fund

SLIC donated Rs.10 million to the Rebuild Sri Lanka Fund in support of the families affected by the recent Ditwah cyclone.

The contribution was formally handed over to Treasury Secretary Dr. Harshana Suriyapperuma, at the Finance, Planning and Economic Development Ministry on March 16, 2026. 

This donation will contribute towards national relief and recovery efforts aimed at assisting the communities impacted by the disaster.

SLIC Chairman Nusith Kumaratunga, SLIC Life Chief Executive Officer Nalin Subasinghe, SLIC General Chief Executive Officer Dr. Sameera Dharmasena and SLIC Life Chief Finance Officer Sriyani Kulasinghe were also present at the occasion.

Through this initiative, SLIC reaffirm its commitment to social responsibility, underscoring the importance of collective action in supporting communities and contributing to national recovery efforts.
