SL shines at Middle East Rubber and Tyre Expo



The Sri Lanka Export Development Board, in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Consulate General in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), organised a country pavilion at Middle East Rubber and Tyre Expo 2025, in Sharjah, UAE.

Ten small and medium enterprise (SME) companies in the rubber product sector participated in it, under the national export brand ‘Your Vital Island’, to promote Sri Lankan rubber products in the Middle Eastern region.

The exhibition was held from June 17-19, 2025, at Sharjah Expo Centre, in Sharjah, UAE. 

The 10 companies participated in this event for the first time, showcasing a diverse range of rubber products manufactured locally, including solid tyres, retread rubber belts, inner flaps, moulded rubber products (household and industrial), rubber sheets, sports goods, auto mobile components, etc.

The Middle East Rubber and Tyre Expo provided a platform for the rubber product manufacturers, SMEs and exporters to connect with the buyers from around the world, exchange business opportunities and explore the latest trends in the rubber industry. 

3 k Holdings, Autoways, Samson Rubber Compounds, Dulanka International, DTH Superdag, Clinco Rubber Mouldings, Ceytra, BGN Industrial Tyres, Textrip and Rovince Industrial Tyres are the companies that participated in the exhibition.

A business meeting was held by the Sri Lanka Business Council of the Emirates, at the Pullman Creek Hotel in Dubai, where both local and foreign businesses were present. The meeting was chaired by Sri Lanka Ambassador Designate to UAE Arusha Cooray, Consul General-Designate to Dubai and Northern Emirates Alexi Gunasekera and Head of Chancery and Minister Counsellor Thakshila N. Arnolda.

Sri Lanka Business Council Chairman Suren Swaminathan delivered the welcome speech, while the consul general and ambassador also delivered speeches at the meeting. The vote of thanks was delivered by Council Vice President Shihan Sheriff. 

Several businessmen from other countries took part in this event. Sri Lankan businessmen were given the chance to introduce their businesses and share business ideas, which resulted in the development of strong and extensive business relationships.
