People’s Bank has unveiled its latest credit card offering—the SME Business Credit Card—specially designed for Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) customers, in collaboration with Mastercard.
The launch was held in conjunction with the ‘People’s Bank Entrepreneurial Glory 2025’ celebration to mark World SME Day, which took place on 27th June at the Gampaha Municipal Council Stadium.
This specialised credit card aims to empower and enhance the financial capabilities of SMEs by offering a range of exclusive benefits tailored to meet their evolving business needs. The SME Business Credit Card is currently offered without a joining fee along with a waiver of the first-year annual fee, making it an attractive proposition for new cardholders.
Cardholders also gain access to Mastercard’s exclusive offers—both locally and internationally—curated specifically for the SME sector. Additionally, the card provides complimentary overseas travel insurance coverage of up to US$ 100,000, offering peace of mind to entrepreneurs who travel for business. Flexible settlement plans of up to 60 months are available, enabling businesses to manage their cash flow effectively. Furthermore, cardholders can enjoy year-round discounts and special offers across a wide range of merchants and service providers.
Through this new initiative, People’s Bank continues to demonstrate its unwavering commitment to the SME sector, which remains a cornerstone of Sri Lanka’s economic growth and sustainability.
