PRASL with SCoRe unlocks power of AI

PRASL masterclass participants a gathering of communication leaders, innovators and future-forward thinkers

The Public Relations Association of Sri Lanka (PRASL), the country’s leading representative body for the PR industry, in collaboration with the School of Communications and Reputation (SCoRe), successfully concluded the highly anticipated two-day professional development workshop titled ‘Unlocking the Power of AI’ at NH Collection Colombo recently.

Exclusively designed for communications and PR professionals, the workshop provided an intensive, hands-on learning experience featuring expert insights and forward-thinking discussions on the practical applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in public relations.

Led by SCoRe Dean and Co-Founder Hemant Gaule—a renowned educator and thought leader in AI, behavioural psychology and communications—the sessions offered an immersive exploration of how AI is transforming communication strategies, workflow automation, content creation and ethical frameworks within modern PR.

Participants gained a comprehensive understanding of generative AI’s potential and limitations, learning how to effectively integrate AI tools into everyday PR tasks. Interactive simulations enabled the attendees to engage in real-world exercises covering workflow automation, content creation and campaign research. The workshop also addressed critical ethical considerations such as data privacy, plagiarism, misinformation and the impact of AI on human creativity and professional skills.

“This workshop was a real eye-opener. We always assumed this level of AI technology was beyond our reach but the session revealed just how accessible and powerful these tools can be. A heartfelt thank you to the PRASL for curating such a transformative experience,” shared Shaliza from Hardtalk Sri Lanka.

Kites Global Business Development Manager Chase D added, “We explored a wide plethora of AI tools and took a deep dive into real-world use cases. The hour hours felt incredibly valuable, extremely insightful and empowering. Thank you, the PRASL, for such a high-impact session!”

PR Wire Associate Director Anjuu Bakshani noted, “We recognised the growing need to make AI more accessible and offer a space for practical, hands-on learning—and we’re proud to have delivered just that.”
