PMF Finance PLC marked another significant milestone in its growth journey, with the ceremonial opening of its 18th branch in the heart of Ratnapura.

The new branch, strategically located to serve one of Sri Lanka’s most dynamic regional economies, reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to increasing financial accessibility across the island.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was held with the participation of the senior leadership, staff and valued customers.

The Ratnapura branch aims to support a broad spectrum of clients, from aspiring entrepreneurs to established businesses, through a full suite of financial services designed to meet the modern-day needs.

Chairman Chandula Abeywickrama emphasised the company’s focus on connecting people to opportunity.

“In these challenging times for our country and our economy, it is more important than ever to recognise the hidden value in people and communities just like an unpolished gemstone. At PMF Finance, we believe our role is not simply to offer financial services but to enhance lives. Just as a gem gains brilliance through careful polishing, we are committed to nurturing our staff and uplifting every individual who walks through our doors, whatever their financial need may be.”

He further highlighted PMF’s broader purpose.

“We don’t claim ownership over their journeys but we do embrace the responsibility to help raise their worth and potential tenfold. That is the spirit with which we open this new branch in Ratnapura—a city famed for its gems and now home to yet another PMF promise.”

CEO Prof. Ajith Medis shared his vision for the strategic role of the new branch. “The opening of our 18th branch in Ratnapura marks a proud milestone in a journey that began over four decades ago. With a strong legacy, stable ownership and a rapidly expanding presence—particularly over the past year—PMF Finance continues to evolve with purpose.”
