Ahead of the scheduled T-bond auction, the secondary market remained subdued, with limited activity and thin trading volumes.
The yield curve stayed steady, amidst limited short and mid-term trades.
At the short end, 15.10.2029 traded at 9.50 percent while in the mid-term, the 15.06.2035 maturity was dealt at 10.84 percent.
On the external front, the Sri Lankan rupee depreciated against the US dollar, closing at Rs.309.37/US dollar, compared to Rs.309.31/US dollar recorded the previous day.
Overnight liquidity in the banking system expanded to Rs.288.48 billion, from Rs.280.75 billion recorded previously.
