Melsta Hospital Ragama and National Insurance Trust Fund management teams at MoU signing
Melsta Hospitals, a reputed healthcare provider serving the Colombo and Gampaha districts and a fully-owned subsidiary of Melstacorp PLC, has officially entered into a transformative partnership with the National Insurance Trust Fund (NITF), to provide enhanced medical benefits to the beneficiaries of the Agrahara insurance scheme.
This collaboration is a significant stride toward bridging the gap between state-of-the-art private medical facilities and the dedicated public servants who form the core of the nation’s administrative machinery. By integrating its specialised services with the Agrahara programme, Melsta Hospitals is ensuring that the government employees and their families have access to a healthcare experience characterised by cutting-edge diagnostics, expert clinical oversight and substantial financial relief.
Melsta Hospitals Executive Director Dr. K. Thiyagarajah Iraivan stated, “By partnering with the NITF, we are opening our doors to the public sector, offering the same gold-standard care that has earned us international acclaim – most notably evidenced by our Joint Commission International accreditation from the USA, under the latest eighth edition standards.”
Central to this offering is the total waiving of the in-patient admission fee across all room categories, combined with a 20 percent discount on radiology investigations, including CT and MRI scans, ultrasound scans and X-rays.
Furthermore, the beneficiaries will benefit from a 20 percent discount on cardiology investigations such as ECG, Exercise ECG and echocardiograms, alongside a 20 percent concession on physiotherapy and concessionary rates on endoscopy procedures.
Melsta Hospitals has also extended a 10 percent discount on laboratory tests and health screening packages.
A particularly impactful highlight is the specialised maternity care packages tailored for the Agrahara beneficiaries.
