ITC Ratnadipa is set to host a gourmet experience with renowned Master Chef Wang Peng in Chinese cuisine at Yi Jing from June 13th to 19th.
Known for his mastery of Sichuan and Hunan cooking styles (two iconic Chinese regional cuisines celebrated for their bold, spicy, and aromatic flavours), Chef Peng will present a curated à la carte menu featuring 20 of his signature dishes, available exclusively for dinner from 6:30 pm onwards.
Chef Wang Peng, currently leading the culinary team at Yi Jing, ITC Narmada in Ahmedabad, is a culinary veteran with over 22 years of experience across Oriental and Pan Asian kitchens.
“It’s a pleasure to return to this iconic jewel in Colombo and reconnect with the dynamic dining community in Sri Lanka. Each dish I create is a tribute to the flavours and textures I grew up with, and I am excited to share my signature dishes with guests at Yi Jing, bringing a taste of my heritage to their tables.” says Chef Wang Peng.
Throughout his illustrious career, Chef Peng has been celebrated for his ability to blend nostalgia with innovation, creating dishes that pay homage to his roots while delighting the modern palate. The curated menu at Yi Jing will feature his signature dishes such as Shrimp and Calamari Dumplings, Yu Xiang Style Eggplant in Pickle Chili Sauce, Crackling Prawn with Crack Chilli and Potato Crisps, and Biang Biang Chilli Oil Noodles, among others.
