GrandSpace, a premier serviced office provider marked the fifth anniversary of its strategic Experience Centre at the Astoria Complex.

This celebration not only honoured five successful years at a prime location but also highlighted the company’s eight-year legacy of resilience, strategic growth, and an unwavering, client-first commitment that successfully navigated the most challenging economic and global health crises.

The Astoria centre was inaugurated in 2020—a period when the world was reeling from the initial shock of the Covid pandemic.

“The pandemic tested us profoundly, but it also highlighted our team’s unwavering resilience and the strength of our service model,” said Nimhani Weerasekera, Director of GrandSpace.

GrandSpace’s journey began in 2017 with a single location. Today, the company operates a distinguished network of four strategic experience centres. The launch of the Astoria centre in 2020 was followed by the inauguration of the Crescat Boulevard centre in 2023, and most recently, the opening of its latest centre at the Vallibel Finance Corporate Head Office building in 2025.

Founder Director Samila Maddumage noted, “Launching the Astoria centre during the height of the global pandemic five years ago was challenging, but we remained steadfast and never ceased operations. Emerging from that difficult period, we not only persevered but expanded to multiple centres. This milestone is a testament to our resilience and an inspiration to continue innovating and growing.”

Maddumage stressed that their vision extends far beyond simply managing an office.

“We provide an all-inclusive experience that supports businesses at every stage; from startups needing virtual office addresses and company registration, to established companies undergoing rapid expansion.” (NF)
