Govt. names new leadership for four state-run entities

The government yesterday named new heads to four state-owned enterprises, with the Committee on High Posts granting approval for the appointments at a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya on June 20.

The nod was given to the following: Employees’ Trust Fund Board Chairman Somasiri Ekanayake; Ceylon Fishery Harbours Corporation Chairman B. A. P. K. R. Bamunu Arachchi; Development Lotteries Board Chairman M. R. H. Swarnathilaka; and Paranthan Chemicals Limited Chairman S. Nesarajan.

The appointments come as part of the government’s ongoing process to streamline leadership across key public sector institutions.
