With the conclusion of decades-long war, the eastern region of the country has now become a golden opportunity for businesses to invest and establish new trade links.
The massive infrastructure development currently underway in the region has also paved the way for many investment opportunities in the region, which could not be afforded previously. The regions, roads, electricity, bridges and all other core facets are currently being developed in the government’s endeavour to ensure the region is on par with many of the most potent business and lifestyle destinations in the world.
As such, preparations are now underway to hold the most-awaited trade fair in the Eastern region of Sri Lanka titled ‘Gateway to East’ 2016 at the Shivananda School Grounds in Batticaloa on May 27, 28 and 29.

Indian exhibitors are also participating in the trade fair.
The event comprises a large number of booths covering an extensive range of products and services across a wide section of industries and comprises both local and international stalls catering to a diverse variety of needs and services.
