Sri Lanka’s first luxury fragrance house Elvoir is expanding its product portfolio beyond perfumes into personal care, with plans to introduce body lotions as part of its next phase of growth.
The brand recently unveiled a new oud perfume collection in time for Eid, alongside a broader lifestyle range that now includes scented candles, ‘Scentiq’ smart diffusers and Elvoir jewellery.
The oud collection is crafted using Sri Lankan agarwood (walla patta), widely regarded as one of the world’s finest fragrance ingredients.
Looking ahead, Elvoir plans to launch a gourmand collection in July, featuring edible-inspired notes such as vanilla, chocolate and cake, while also incorporating local ingredients like cinnamon.
In addition, the company is set to introduce four new fragrances under its men’s perfume line.
Elvoir is also positioning itself to play a larger role in developing Sri Lanka’s fragrance industry, which it believes holds a significant untapped potential, according to Elvoir Business Development Manager Netanya Perera.
As reported by the Daily FT, the company is also exploring the establishment of a new manufacturing facility, either within the Biyagama Free Trade Zone or in Horana, with an estimated investment of Rs.50 million.
Currently operating without a standalone retail outlet, Elvoir distributes its products through collaborations with high-end local brands including Fusion 14, Design Collective and Jezza.
However, the company is considering opening its own store within the next year or so, while also pursuing additional certifications, Perera stated.
Founded in 2020, Elvoir is Sri Lanka’s first certified perfumer-led fragrance brand, guided by French quality standards.
Its founder, Qaim Deen, is the country’s only licensed and certified perfumer and the first Sri Lankan to be selected to the prestigious Grasse Institute of Perfumery (GIP) in France.
With over five years in operation, Deen emphasised that Elvoir’s mission goes beyond launching products. Instead, it aims to demonstrate that Sri Lanka can build a sustainable, premium fragrance industry rooted in craftsmanship, discipline and global standards.
Deen prioritises quality above quantity and strives to create an environment where local craftsmanship can coexist with global standards, with a long-term vision of taking Sri Lankan luxury to the world.
Elvoir adheres to internationally recognised manufacturing standards, including IFRA, ISO and GMP protocols, ensuring safety, consistency and quality across its production processes.
The company is also working closely with the National Medicines Regulatory Authority and Industries and Entrepreneur Development Ministry.
In addition to its signature collections, Elvoir specialises in customised perfumes for individuals, weddings and corporate gifting.
It offers bespoke fragrances designed to reflect personal stories and brand identities.
