EFC re-elects Dinesh and Sanath as Chairman and Vice Chairman

The Employers’ Federation of Ceylon (EFC) concluded its 96th Annual General Meeting on June 30, at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall.

Union Bank Chairman and former Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC and Hatton National Bank PLC Chairman Dinesh Weerakkody was re-elected as Chairman of the EFC. Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC Managing Director Sanath Manatunge was re-elected as Vice Chairman for the year 2025/2026.

Established in 1929, the EFC serves as the representative body for employers on labour and social issues in Sri Lanka. The EFC is also the designated employer constituent of the International Labour Organisation in the country.
