The Export Development Board (EDB) yesterday called for applications from local tech start-ups wishing to participate in the Expand North Star of GITEX Global 2024.
Applications are to be submitted via EDB’s online portal before May 9.
Local start-ups providing technology products, technology services and knowledge-based assistance in Artificial Intelligence, Telecom, Cybersecurity, Future Mobility, Coding, Developing, Metaverse, YouthX and Sustainability solutions are invited to submit applications.
Interested companies will be able to take part in multinational business meetings, networking sessions, and field visits set to be featured in the programme.
Moreover, they will also be able to showcase their products, services and offerings among the many international start-ups and investors joining the event.
In addition, the EDB has also offered to consider assisting in costs of space, construction, venue of networking meetings, and transportation in field visits.
Known to be the world’s largest convention for tech startups, Expand North Star is set to take place between October 13-16 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The convention is a subsection of GITEX Global 2024- the world’s largest tech exhibition held every year.
Expand North Star annually welcomes over 1,000 investors and 1,800 multinational startups for the programme.
In addition to a vast number of experts and guest speakers, the convention is set to feature summits of sustainability, financial technology, blockchain and marketing technology.
