EDB calls for bids to enhance digital promotion of local exports

Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) under the Ministry of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development has called for tenders from interested parties to improve its web portal and social media platforms. 

The initiative is expected to increase the online presence of the Sri Lankan products and services in the global markets by means of e-marketing and contents development efforts.

According to EDB, the agency selected will take up the role of redesigning the digital platforms of EDB and lead a content strategy that would be consistent with the global trends and export goals. This entails creation of content that is interesting and application of innovative digital marketing campaigns in order to improve the promotion of Sri Lanka in its export offerings.

The procurement will be executed in accordance with the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) process. Interested parties can download the application from the EDB website. The bids are to be submitted by 24 July 2025 to the Procurement Unit of EDB. 

The submission must contain technical and financial proposals in separate sealed bids accompanied by a bid security of Rs. 70,000 in form of a bank guarantee. On the same day, technical proposals will be opened in the presence of bidders or their representatives. The proposals should be valid within a period of 77 days after the deadline. Late bids will not be considered for evaluation.
