EDB announces study tour to China for local auto and foundry industry



The Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB), in collaboration with the Sri Lankan Embassy in China, has organized a study and exposure tour to China for local manufacturers and exporters in the automobile and foundry industries.

The tour, scheduled to take place from 17-24 May is set to coincide with the Metal China and Die Casting China 2025 exhibition, one of the largest exhibitions in the world for the ferrous and nonferrous industrial sector. “The China International Foundry Expo is an important platform for the transformation and upgrade of the foundry industry. The event provides first-hand information on die casting technology, machines and market requirements/market intelligence” the EDB stated in a notice.

Accordingly, the board has invited Sri Lankan manufacturers and exporters of automobile parts and accessories, foundry industries, and relevant service providers to apply for the program.

Participants of the tour will have the opportunity to attend the METAL CHINA Exhibition, visit leading die-casting machine factories and engage in B2B meetings with major automobile and die-casting machinery manufacturers.  Interested parties are required to obtain their applications from the EDB website and submit them by March 25, 2025.
