Dmitri Cooray appointed Executive Director at Jetwing Lighthouse

The Lighthouse Hotel PLC announced the appointment of Dmitri Cooray as a new Executive Director to its board, effective May 23, 2025. The appointment was approved and recommended by the Nominations and Governance Committee and ratified by the Board of Directors at a meeting held last week. 

Cooray, a dynamic leader representing the third generation of the Cooray family in the hospitality industry, brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He holds a Bachelor of Business in International Hotel & Resort Management from the Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School, Sydney, Australia, and a Diploma in Hotel Management from SHATEC Institute, Singapore. 

His extensive experience includes roles with leading hotels in Singapore and Australia before he joined Jetwing Hotels in 2015. Within Jetwing, Cooray has held significant positions, including Manager Operations and Deputy Managing Director, contributing substantially to the group’s growth and success. The company filing confirmed that as of May 23, 2025 Cooray holds 10,000 shares in The Lighthouse Hotel PLC.
