Delmege Energy, the authorized distributor of Shell lubricants in Sri Lanka, announced the appointment of two Brand Ambassadors to drive awareness and engagement for Shell’s high-performance lubricants. 

The appointments are part of a strategic initiative to leverage brand visibility and creditability for both car and motorcycle users across the country.

Sri Lanka’s No. 1 racing Champion Ashan Silva will serve as the Brand Ambassador for Shell lubricants for cars. 

Speaking on the partnership, Ashan Silva said, “I’ve always believed that what goes into your engine matters just as much as the car itself. Shell lubricants have consistently delivered exceptional performance and reliability, qualities every car owner looks for. I’m proud to represent a brand that’s trusted worldwide.” 

Meanwhile, motorcycle racer Jacques Gunawardena has been named Brand Ambassador for Shell lubricants for motorcycles. Known for his achievements on the racing circuit and sporting the accolade of being the 2024 Sri Lanka National Champion, 5th Overall in the CEAT India Supercross Racing League, he has a deep knowledge of motorcycle maintenance. As such, he will connect with bike enthusiasts nationwide to highlight the superior performance and reliability of Shell Advance lubricants, used especially for bikes.

“As a rider and racer, engine performance and protection are non-negotiable. Shell Advance motorcycle oil gives me the confidence to push the limits while keeping my engine in peak condition. I’m excited to share that experience with fellow bikers,” said Jacques Gunawardena.

As part of the campaign, the ambassadors will be featured in multi-platform marketing efforts, including digital content, live activations, and workshops aimed at engaging with motorists and bikers directly.
