Crop Solutions recognizes star performers

Crop Solutions held its Annual Achievers night under the theme “A Night of Stars- Legacy of Success.” to recognize and reward the top Sales, Marketing and Support Service teams for the last financial year.

Crop Solutions, a key component of CIC Holdings PLC provides vital Agri Inputs like Herbicides, Weedicides and Pesticides for the Plantations, Paddy, Vegetable and Fruit sectors of the island. 

Working closely with some of the leading global partners in the Industry, Crop Solutions has emerged as the market leader today in providing quality Crop Protection Inputs to most of these sectors.

Gracing the occasion as Chief Guest was the Business Head of Syngenta India (Private) Ltd Vikram Shinde, a long standing Business Partner of Crop Solutions while Andreas Theisen from AGLUKON, Germany, another key business partner of Crop Solutions was the guest of honour.

Speaking on the occasion Vikram Shinde highlighted the long-standing business partnership between Syngenta and CIC and appreciated the dedication and commitment of the CIC team in growing the Syngenta business in Sri Lanka. He further emphasized that Syngenta’s continuous Research and Innovations will further help  in providing cutting edge solutions and also safe, effective and environmentally friendly products  to the Agriculture Sector in the Sri Lanka.

Individual and team awards were given to outstanding employees who excelled during the last financial year where Crop Solutions recorded a Revenue in excess of Rs. 8 billion for the very first time. 

In addition the CEO Award was also given for the first time where Piyumi Edirimane  -Manager Research and Development .was bestowed with this prestigious  honour for her outstanding contribution  through her consistent dedication and exceptional work ethics. Piyumi has made a significant impact on the divisions performance and has been an  inspiration to the rest of the employees.
