The Centre for Lean Excellence has joined hands with the Industrial Development Board (IDB) to introduce a modern, data-driven approach to visitor engagement at the upcoming Industry Expo 2025.
As part of this collaboration, the Centre for Lean Excellence has developed and provided a free of charge customised software solution designed to collect and manage visitor profiles during the event.
This initiative is aimed at enhancing the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the expo by enabling a deeper understanding of visitor interests, facilitating post-event engagement and supporting future strategies for industrial development.

To ensure seamless implementation, a comprehensive training session on the new software was conducted for the IDB staff at the IDB head office auditorium in Katubedda. The session was led by Centre for Lean Excellence Director Asanka Henegedara, along with his team. Notable attendees included IDB Board of Directors Member Sujith Bombuwala and IDB Regional Director Senanayake.
The training equipped the IDB team with the knowledge and tools necessary to operate the system effectively during the event, ensuring that visitor data is captured accurately and utilised to its full potential.
This collaboration represents a significant step toward integrating digital technology into national industry exhibitions and highlights the Centre for Lean Excellence’s ongoing commitment to empowering public institutions in their digital transformation journey.
