The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC) has launched Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Award 2025, a national initiative aimed at recognising the Sri Lankan businesses that are actively embedding inclusion and fairness into the fabric of their organisations.
The award will honour the companies that are taking real, measurable steps to build more diverse teams, equitable systems and inclusive cultures. Whether through thoughtful hiring practices, inclusive leadership or creating work environments that welcome people of all backgrounds, the DEI Award seeks to shine a spotlight on those who are raising the bar.
The award will be presented across several categories, including Best DEI Initiative in both the MSME and corporate sectors. To highlight the efforts across the country, Regional DEI Awards will be given to top-performing organisations in each of Sri Lanka’s nine provinces.
The award also features a series of thematic recognitions for areas such as inclusive workplace culture, gender equality, disability inclusion, women’s empowerment and youth-focused hiring initiatives.
The organisations that are taking steps – big or small – to foster diversity and inclusion, are encouraged to apply.
“DEI Award 2025 is presented by the CCC in partnership with the Strengthening Social Cohesion and Peace in Sri Lanka (SCOPE) programme — co-financed by the European Union and German Federal Foreign Office and implemented by GIZ, in collaboration with the government of Sri Lanka — as part of a series of initiatives marking the conclusion of the SCOPE programme.
