One of Sri Lanka’s largest mergers and acquisitions was recently concluded between the promoter shareholders of East West Properties PLC and business magnate Dhammika Perera with Brigjin as the transaction advisor to the promoter shareholders.

The landmark transaction on the divestiture of a 77.4 percent stake of East West Properties was the first by Bridjin in the transaction space and was closed in record time, positioning the company as a dynamic new player in the transaction advisory space.

The transaction was led by Bridjin Managing Director Geeth Balasuriya.

He said, “We are happy to support strategic transitions like this, especially in a market where speed, trust and precision are essential. Our goal at Bridjin is not just to advise—but to embed ourselves alongside our clients and deliver outcomes that matter.”

The Bridjin team worked closely with the founding family of East West Properties, Nahil Wijesuriya, Vajira Wijesuriya and Anika Wijesuriya, throughout the process.

Bridjin is a boutique advisory firm dedicated to bridging the gap in access to finance for growing businesses. The company’s core specialisation lies in investor readiness - helping small and medium-scale enterprises strengthen their financial and strategic foundation to attract the right capital at the right time.

With over 20 years of experience spanning equity research, development banking, investment banking, M&A and capital markets, Balasuriya brings a global perspective and a sharp deal-making acumen to the table. He has successfully executed over 25 M&As across North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East, with particular expertise in cross-border transactions and deal structuring.
