BoardPAC, a global leader in board management solutions, has been awarded the Carbon Neutral Certification for the third consecutive year, reinforcing its unwavering commitment to environmental sustainability.
The certification, granted by the Sri Lanka Climate Fund (SLCF) under the Environment Ministry, recognises BoardPAC’s dedication to fostering a low-carbon business environment and promoting sustainable corporate practices in the year 2023.
The certification was awarded following a rigorous assessment of BoardPAC’s Organisation-Level Greenhouse Gas emissions, which were successfully offset in adherence to the ISO 14064 – 1:2018 standard.
Since its inception, BoardPAC has been at the forefront of paperless boardroom solutions, enabling organisations to eliminate paper-intensive processes and transition to a more sustainable workflow. With a presence in over 40 countries, BoardPAC’s technology has helped businesses significantly reduce their reliance on printed documents, leading to the preservation of an estimated 16,000 trees annually.
Founder and CEO Lakmini Wijesundera stated, “Sustainability is no longer a choice but a responsibility and at BoardPAC, we lead by example. As a company that drives digital transformation in boardrooms worldwide, we recognise the importance of aligning technology with environmental stewardship. Achieving Carbon Neutral Certification for the third consecutive year reaffirms our commitment to reducing our environmental impact while helping enterprises transition to more sustainable governance practices.”
Environment Ministry Secretary and SLCF Chairman K.R. Uduwawala remarked, “BoardPAC’s continued commitment to carbon neutrality sets an important example for the corporate sector. Achievements like these play a crucial role in advancing Sri Lanka’s sustainability agenda and reinforcing the IT industry’s responsibility toward a greener future.”
