Bake House Kandy relaunches with new brand identity

Bake House Kandy has officially relaunched with a refreshed brand identity, contemporary interiors and an enhanced customer experience, marking a new chapter for one of the city’s most recognised heritage dining establishments.

With a legacy spanning over 55 years, the relaunch reflects a strategic transformation designed to resonate with Gen Z and Millennials, while continuing to honour the loyalty of families who have grown alongside the brand for decades.

As part of its repositioning, Bake House Kandy has strengthened its commitment to responsible dining, operating under a clean-label philosophy that consciously avoids artificial preservatives and synthetic essences, while embracing sustainable practices through the use of solar-powered energy, an in-house water filtration system and plastic-free initiatives, including the elimination of plastic straws and discouraging plastic water bottles — reinforcing its commitment to environmental stewardship and ethical consumerism.

Beyond its refreshed aesthetic, Bake House now presents a diversified dining concept within a single destination, offering “Raja Gedara” as a welcoming family restaurant, the “Ceylon Tea Cabin” for comforting tea-time experiences, the dynamic Bake House Café as a quick-service dining space, a dedicated takeaway outlet for daily convenience, “Inn By The Lake” as a vibrant pub serving beer, wine and spirits, and the exclusive “Knoxx Lounge” reception hall for private and corporate gatherings — positioning the establishment as more than a restaurant, but a curated culinary experience adaptable to every mood and occasion.

The Managing Director of Bake House Kandy, Nadija Weerarathna said, “This relaunch is not about changing who we are, but about elevating the experience while preserving the heritage and trust we have built over generations. We wanted to create a space that feels inspiring and contemporary for younger audiences, yet warmly familiar to those who have always called Bake House their own.”
