Abans Learning Centre obtains TVEC registration

The Abans Learning Centre (ALC), a centre initiated by Abans with state-of-the-art facilities to enable newcomers to learn from industry veterans with years of experience in technology and maintenance of home appliances and electronics, recently renewed its Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC) centre registration.
At the ALC, the students can gain hands-on experience at modern training labs equipped with the latest technologies, in addition to gaining the advantages of a comprehensive curriculum that covers everything from basic principles to advanced techniques, culminating in a well-rounded individual with an in-depth knowledge and recognised qualifications.

The LG Abans Air Conditioning Academy, the air conditioning training branch of the ALC, was inaugurated in partnership with the Institute of Technology at the University of Moratuwa. 

Offering both short-term and advanced courses, it caters to a wide range of learners, including school-leavers, technical personnel and maintenance staff from sectors such as hospitality, finance and healthcare. The academy aims to equip individuals with the skills needed to excel in the dynamic field of air conditioning technology.
The launch of the LG-Abans AC Academy took place in April 2024. Positioning itself as a hub of educational excellence, the academy delivers top-tier training on LG’s cutting-edge air conditioning solutions. With a curriculum that encompasses everything from installation methods to comprehensive service strategies, the LG-Abans AC Academy is poised to elevate the standard of air conditioning education by being the sole academy in South Asia focusing on LG AC technology. 

The academy aims to inspire the new generation of technocrats with LG technologies while simultaneously sharing the latest LG technology, equipment in commercial air conditioner maintenance technology with budding maintenance specialists. 

Accordingly, the students who enrol at the academy will learn the fundamentals of air conditioning, system installation, maintenance, electrical components and environmental and safety practices from a panel of lecturers comprising of industry veterans with multiple years of experience in air conditioning technology and maintenance.
