AIA Insurance marks completion of 30th Poson Safety Programme

AIA Insurance recently concluded the 30th edition of its flagship Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, AIA Poson Safety Programme. 

This milestone year marked three decades of unwavering commitment to public safety. Held during the sacred Poson season, the programme was conducted across Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, Dambulla, Mihintale, and surrounding regions.  Over 500 trained lifeguards were deployed across the lakes and reservoirs, safeguarding thousands of pilgrims who gathered to observe this significant religious festival.  In a heartfelt gesture of appreciation, AIA launched a special recognition campaign to honour the lifeguards and volunteers who have been instrumental to the programme’s success over the years. Many of these individuals have served year after year, and their dedication was celebrated through public acknowledgments and storytelling initiatives. Additionally, all lifeguards were provided with accidental death coverage for a period of three months, as a token of gratitude and commitment to their wellbeing.
