Absolutely right! It was Sajin Vaas Gunawardena who ran the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Prof. Pieris was just following orders. Have we forgotten all that?
Mason Monday, 08 June 2015 11:33 AM
GL is just another "dried pumpkin".
parakkarama Monday, 08 June 2015 10:56 AM
Johan you are absolutely correct 100%,the moron gl peiris did nothing even in the UN,in away I feel sorry for MR as this idiot of a man did nothing for Foreign affairs let alone the UN.If any one can point out one thing in Foreign affairs or the UN that stands I will withdraw what I am writing,I have an Upper class honours in Economics and Law at Melbourne could have done better than this fellow who has been out dated and always has been irreverent.it is time for this Man to quit altogether and give a young up and coming bright a chance,GL ruined Sri lanka
Bala Monday, 08 June 2015 10:29 AM
Well said - very true that education is different while hypocrisy is another trait of these scoundrels.
cyril n Monday, 08 June 2015 09:41 AM
GL.Peiris is good for nothing. He attened several UNHRC meetings and did nothing in our favour. Yes, he will join any ruling party and become a passenger minister.
johan Monday, 08 June 2015 09:34 AM
I think Managala is clever than Peiris,He could not and hedid not do anything under MR Govt.
Fassey Monday, 08 June 2015 09:14 AM
Why waste your time and the television channel air time, who would be interested in listening to the old boring professor?
BuffaloaCitizen Monday, 08 June 2015 08:02 AM
MaRa has a trade mark for inducing people to believe that he is good while taking the people for a ride. This includes recruiting educated humbugs to justify his criminality some of whom are GL, Dayan, Rajiva, Mahinda Samarasinghe and many paid puppets. The crux of this issue is how such persons can lose their principles and ethics and support such a criminal, dictatorial leader in the history of Sri Lanka. The answer is money.
Packeer Monday, 08 June 2015 06:54 AM
Well said

Absent minded Prof GL has also forgotten that Ranil became PM on peoples mandate and the same mandate was given for 100 days. So there is no opportunity to let majority party govern in the country beyond 100 days in the mandate given by the people.
sarath Monday, 08 June 2015 05:14 AM
It is not democracy to have a minority govt while the majority is left out. Mr Wijedasa is not competent enough to pass remarks on Prof GL on law. No confidence motion is a constitutional right and dissolution of parliament is also in the hands of the President and if he decides otherwise we have no right to find fault of it.
BigEars Sunday, 07 June 2015 09:43 PM
Have you forgotten "Avant - Garde" ? What was the deal?
Thanga Monday, 08 June 2015 04:33 AM
Prof.Peiris is a backboneless chameleon. He has pole-vaulted from SLFP to UNP and back again to SLFP. God only knows how he got his PhD?
Tony Monday, 08 June 2015 03:45 AM
GL was a well reputed Minister around the world.
Gamini Monday, 08 June 2015 03:26 AM

Excuse me sir????? Dont you feel ashamed to bring someone mum to the scene when making comments??? This clearly indicates the background you were brought up. "Charity begins at home"
Hiran Gunawardena Monday, 08 June 2015 01:05 AM
What on earth this nut case talking about?????????? As far as we all Srilankans remember MR, GOTA eradicated LTTE and during UNP time they nurtured LTTE . We all know the history of this country. Non of us forget that. Now they all gone nuts asking to dissolve parliament before their PINA PM getting kicked out with no confidence motion
dharma Monday, 08 June 2015 12:43 AM
professor mr G.L Peries is not a politician but he was by the former president ms chindarka bandaranaka, as the appointment M.P he is not good for politics, he sold the srilanka in foreign countries by telling lies to many mission to keep the good books with mr Rajapaska, mr rajapaska swindle srilanka money billion, with his siblings. he has cheated many religion at temples .he is a crook
roshan Monday, 08 June 2015 12:32 AM
Mr Minister, pls. forget about these scraps since it would waste yours and ours precious time, they are old and have no jib and want to kill time - he is dancing while speaking, time for him to tray sil at the temple instead of bootlegging, he was a professor and not a practicing lawyer, he cannot practice law, he can only sit in benches of parliament.
Greg Sunday, 07 June 2015 11:55 PM
The minister looks something wrong in his brain to say G.L.Peris would try to become a minister in a Prabhakaran Govt.
Jinso Sunday, 07 June 2015 11:29 PM
Wasnt it that these guys that tried to give a fedaral government to LTTE
Dr I.M.C.Fernando,UK. Sunday, 07 June 2015 11:02 PM
The Justice Minister is posing hypothetical questions re former Minister Peiris and indicates his "stupid" opinions. He is probably unfit to be the Justice Minister. It appears to be long standing revenge and vengeance and confirms his unsuitability to be the Justice Minister. Appointing RW as Prime Minister is absolutely unconstitutional - there is no getting away from this fact and the Sri Lankan people know this. President Sirisena made an error of profound magnitude and he will have to live with it.
Dee Sunday, 07 June 2015 10:43 PM
Gosh! Very well said I must admit.
Damien Sunday, 07 June 2015 10:39 PM
Then why has he not joined your cabinet
praba Sunday, 07 June 2015 10:36 PM
U too r becoming another cheap politician without a proper policy. I reckon this is high time to resign from ur post rather than compromiing ur credibility.
